SFCE Concert Series

The SFCE Concert Series is a year-long concert series based around a theme.  We have 12 programs per year that tie into the yearly theme.  The 2023-24 theme, Minds in Harmony, is about Mental and Physical Health. Each concert contains program notes given from the stage that connect each composer and piece of music to the concert topic.   During and/or after the program we open up the floor to audience members to share experiences or ask questions.  Every SFCE concert contains a variety of composers and genres of music.  We strive to program composers of all genders, composers from all time periods, composers from all over the world, and all styles of music, including classical, jazz, musical theater, indigenous, pop, rock and more. There is something for everyone at our performances.

Our 2023-2024 Season topics are: Prodigies, Polymaths and Psychosis), Diet, PTSD, Holiday Anxiety, Drug Abuse, Surviving Cancer, Depression, Sleep Habits, 10 Days of Connection program (Anxiety), Physical Fitness, Beethoven and his mental and physical issues, and The Power of Friendships.
