Common Objects is an arts integration program where participants make musical instruments from recycled and household items and perform them with the SFCE musicians.
Bailando is an all dance program where participants learn and dance traditional dances from around the world. Each dance contains 3 steps or less in a short choreography that is danced to traditional music from the culture.
Interactive Opera is an arts integration program where participants make costumes, create props that contain instructions for what to do on stage, and learn and perform dances on stage. In each of the three acts participants can choose to be a main character, an extra, work backstage disseminating costumes and props, or a dancer on stage.
The Junior Ensemble is mentorship program for young musicians. Each ensemble is mentored by a South Florida Chamber Ensemble member who plays alongside the students. Participants rehearse 4 times a month and give a monthly performance for the community. Participants have the opportunity to select repertoire, share program notes with the audience, write their own compositions, book performances, arrange music and more.
Super You empowers participants to find the superhero within. Participants learn about each hero’s strength and weaknesses. Participants must guess the superhero based on the narration and each superhero’s theme song. Each hero makes an appearance at the performance. Participants get to create their own superhero persona based on their abilities.
To Scale is an architecture program where participants create famous architecture to scale using math and science and create edible architecture using food items.
